Total Procurement Cost
Falcon Metal makes purchasing easier for you and your company. We strive to understand your goals and requirements by developing a supply chain management system that will reduce your Total Procurement Cost (TPC). We offer many programs designed to meet your goals and requirements. We have experience with a wide variety of OEM industries.
All costs, whether sourcing, paperwork, storage space cost, or taxes and insurance should be considered to ensure you are making the most cost effective decisions. Direct acquisition cost (price) is the most visible element of OEM purchasing cost. Too often it is the only consideration. There are a number of other elements of TPC which can have a major impact on product acquisition including:
Those items mentioned in the chart above, as well as Process Controls Costs, Storage Space Costs, Internal Handling to Final Use Point and Taxes and Insurance.
A Customized Approach
In order to design your custom Inventory Management program, we offer a comprehensive cost savings analysis of your operations focused on reducing your Total Procurement Cost (TPC). We clarify your goals and objectives with your key staff throughout your facility. We then follow the flow of material and paperwork within your operation. We examine the issues/problems that you are currently facing.
The output of this analysis is a written report with recommendations to meet your specific objectives. This survey is offered at no charge to you, with no obligation. Our programs generally result in significant savings for our customers.

Falcon Barcode Inventory System (FBIS)
One of our most popular options for volume accounts is our Falcon Barcode Inventory System (FBIS). With this program you never have to worry about down time due to lack of parts or poor quality.
The Falcon Barcode Inventory System utilizes technology to assist you in managing the ordering process for fasteners and class “C” production components. These are the items that are the reverse of the 80/20 rule: the high number of low dollar value parts. Parts are only replenished based on your actual usage fulfilling one of the key principles of lean manufacturing: “Flow where you can, pull where you can’t, never push.” FBIS is truly a pull system.
FBIS replaces the tedious process of checking inventory levels, filling out requisitions, sourcing and expediting overdue orders. Our staff assumes full responsibility for insuring you have what is required to build your finished product. We can implement this program at either a central stock area or at point of use locations. Reordering material becomes a simple process of scanning the labels for items below minimum stock level. The scanned information is uploaded directly into our computer system, a pick ticket is generated for products needing replenishment, and they are delivered to your storage location on an agreed upon cycle.
One major benefit of implementing FBIS will be a significant reduction in your inventory. This will improve your cash flow.
