On December 17, Falcon Metal participated with the Charlotte Branch of the USO to serve and meet some of our troops during Victory Block Leave.  This is a time when troops come through different airports on their way home for the holidays.  Over 50 buses, carrying approximately 1,500 troops from Fort Jackson, arrived at the Charlotte Douglas Airport beginning at 4 am.  This 1,500 is in addition to the normal 300+ troops that pass through Charlotte every day.  We were honored to be a part of this special time for our troops.  In giving to these men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe, we feel that we received a gift to be able to shake their hands and say, “Thank you.”
