Inventory Management
We offer many programs designed to tailor our services to our customers' needs, and have experience with a wide variety of OEM industries.  One of our most popular options for volume accounts is our Falcon Barcode Inventory System (FBIS).  With this program you never have to worry about down time due to lack of parts, or inferior product.

The Falcon Barcode Inventory System utilizes technology to assist OEM customers in managing their ordering process for Class "C" production.  These are the items that are the reverse of the 80/20 rule: the high number of low dollar value parts.

FBIS replaces the tedious process of checking inventory levels, filling out requisitions, sourcing and expediting overdue orders.  We can implement this program at either a central stock area or at point of use locations.  Reordering material becomes a simple process of scanning the labels for items below minimum stock level.  The scanned information is uploaded directly into Falcon's computer system; then a pick ticket is generated for products needing replenishment.  The result of implementing FBIS will be a reduction of inventory levels.

Total Procurement Cost
Let us make purchasing easier for you and your company.  We strive to understand the goals and needs of each individual customer by focusing on developing supply systems that will reduce your Total Procurement Cost (TPC).  All costs whether sourcing , paperwork, storage space cost, or taxes and insurance need to be considered to insure you are making the most cost effective decisions.

Our core competencies include managing "C" inventory items, technical knowledge, industry experience, flexiblility and responsiveness.

Direct acquisition cost (price) is the most visible element of OEM purchasing cost.  There are a number of other elements that determine TPC including:

1.  Sourcing                       6.  Carrying Costs
2. Paperwork 7.  Process Controls
3. Expediting 8.  Storage Space Cost
4. Downtime 9.  Shrinkage
5. Internal Handling            10.  Taxes, Insurance (Misc.)
to Final Use Point

TPC can be a guide for rethinking the entire material management process for Class "C" production components.  For more information on Total Procurement Cost, please visit the following wesite: http://www.merrifield.com/articles/4_3.asp
